The Club has an extensive Arctic library of books collected by the late Irene and George Waterston. This was acquired in 1984 and is now kept in Edinburgh. It was supplemented by donations from the late Hugh Lang, John Arnott and Angus Erskine.

This library, in addition to holding 350 books, has on its shelves recent expedition reports, reprints of articles and current journals. It is available for consultation by members and is valuable for carrying out research on an area of the Arctic before planning an expedition or for studying any special aspect of the Arctic, be it historical, geographical, scientific or logistical.
