The Club had an extensive library of Arctic books collected by the late Irene and George Waterston. This was acquired in 1984. It was supplemented by donations from Hugh Lang, John Arnott, Angus Erskine and Iain Smart. This library, in addition to over 350 books, has a collection of expedition reports which are in the process of being catalogued.  We are very pleased that this library has now been given to the Royal Scottish Geographical Society (RSGS). It is displayed on purpose built shelves in the Shackleton Room in Lord John Murray House, Perth along with the library of Angus Erkine and the Polar Collection of the RSGS.
